This has been a major problem for Alta Loma School District and is part of our current budget crisis.  Projections have the decline hitting bottom in about two years.

NUMBER OF TEACHERS WHO ARE RETIRING UNDER SERP

As of Feb. 23rd (the deadline for decisions to retire) 38 teachers have resigned and entered the SERP program.

These teachers have made up the backbone of the Alta Loma School District for 30 years. We send them off with a big thank you. May your retirement be a fun and positive time.

You will be missed.

ALSD MOVES FROM POSITIVE BUDGET CERTIFICATION TO A QUALIFIED CERT.

"District administration believes that because of the uncertainty of State funding and cash appropriations, it is not possible, given current information, to accurately project positive fund and cash balances into the 3rd year as required by AB1200 Criteria and Standards..." 

"...The district currently exceed the minimum required reserve levels, but with currently available information, cannot project positive cash and fund balances for the current and next two subsequent fiscal years..."
